The Lusophone Society of Goa (LSG) www.lusophonegoa.org organises an International Congress on January 14 and 15, 2014, focusing on India and the market of the Portuguese-speaking countries (Angola, Brazil, Cape Verde, East Timor, Guinea-Bissau, Mozambique, Portugal, São Tomé and Príncipe, and the Chinese Special Administrative Region (SAR) of Macau).
With simultaneous translation English-Portuguese.
This Congress will be of particular Interest for entrepreneurs of Portuguese-speaking countries and of India, to come to know the real possibilities of exchange of goods and services.

The Lusophone Society of Goa (LSG) organises an International Congress on January 14 and 15, 2014, focusing on India and the market of the Portuguese-speaking countries (Angola, Brazil, Cape Verde, East Timor, Guinea-Bissau, Mozambique, Portugal, São Tomé and Príncipe, and the Chinese Special Administrative Region (SAR) of Macau).
With simultaneous translation English-Portuguese.
Interest and aims:
This Congress will be of particular Interest for entrepreneurs of Portuguese-speaking countries and of India, to come to know the real possibilities of exchange of goods and services.
India is making notable advances in many fields such as information technology, pharmaceuticals, medical tourism, industrial products, transport and electronic equipments, etc., requiring, on the other hand, import of varied goods and services such as agricultural products, minerals, fuels, building materials, etc.
On the other side, the Portuguese-speaking countries, which represent a diversified market of 250 million people, with minerals, oil and agricultural resources and technologies represent an immense platform where entrepreneur with their initiatives and experiences can interact to give the best to their co-citizens.
The Congress will include presentations and panels where each country will be introduced, giving data of its strengths and weaknesses, capabilities and needs, in order to find complementarities with the other participating countries.
Heads of companies of great social impact – social business enterprises- which give important contributions (in microcredits, healthcare, prostheses, cooperatives, green revolution, etc.) will present their projects.
There will be stands of companies of social business and others, with DVDs, brochures of their most interesting products.
The location of the Congress could not be better: Goa! Goa is much sought after by Indians and foreigners, for a quiet and relaxing life, for heavenly beaches, boasting a good Sun and delicious food. Goa receives annually more than 600 thousand foreign tourists and 2.7 million Indian tourists.
Who should participate:
Businessmen of various domains, avid to present and export their products and services, and to find ways for technology transfer, in order to create more value and more jobs in their country … Also importers of those products missing in their country.
Government officials eager to know how to do more and better to improve the quality of life of their citizens, learning from the success and experience of others: from India and from the Portuguese-speaking countries, in the fields of entrepreneurship, social inclusion, innovation, etc.
